Rain Soul is the first painting of weather and seasonal Soul Art Collection i intend to work on, inspired by a commissioned work.
It is a challenge to make my soul art figure look old as the energy I paint doesn't age like our physical shell does! Our souls become wise but not aged!
I love this painting, the rain is gentle and the painting is calm, the figure becomes one with the puddles and may even be rain himself.

An old man at first appearance 'weathering the storm' though it be a calm kind of storm. The impression is that the wind is against him and he is struggling to make his journey forward.
On closer inspection he is yielding to the weather and becoming one with the rain, he is himself rain.
In our lives we walk against the wind sometimes but these more difficult times make us strong and become part of us and who we are. If we yield to our problems and illnesses instead of fighting against them we will become one with them and have a higher undrestanding. The man accepts the rain and is one with it. We accept our lessons and learn as they show us the way.
This is a very contented painting. When problems come our way to approach them from a more positive direction and be thankfukl for them, what they teach us and how they can help us move on to enlightenment.
