Went to Pafos on the 18th June for the wine tasting and announcement of the winner of the competition and the best female artist 2010 award.
The artwork entered and was amazing. In the end there were 13 finalists!
Although I didn't win the award I was so proud to have been selected, an acheivement in itself!
As one of the finalists I received an opportunity for a wine label collection in 2011 where one of my paintings will be on the label. Also one of my paintings will be exhibited at Tsangarides winery.

I have been concentrating on healing sketches in pastels over the last couple of weeks and I am very much enjoying this work and so many new things are being revealed!!!

Also organising paintings to go up to Lania for the art festival from 5th-20th june

I have just finished the first painting I am doing of the 8 piece brocade.
These paintings are for the Kypros Tai Chi Association and they will hang in the Tai Chi Centre in Dherinya once the set is complete.
I have other paintings exhibited at the centre too.

Really excited to announce that I am one of ten finalists that have been selected for the Best Female Artist Award 2010.
The winner will be announced at an event in Pafos next month!

I am now writing the craft section for our local monthly magazine.

This Sunday my work has been mentioned in an article in the supplement living section of the Cyprus Sunday Mail.

Over the weekend I exhibited artwork at the Mind, Body and Spirit Expo in Limassol.
The expo was a great success.

Another commission finished and it will hang with 'Merdonna' in a private collection here in Cyprus.

I have also been working on paintings for the Mind Body and Spirit expo which is in Limassol this weekend. All the paintings that will be exhibited have been added to the gallery in the 'Newer work' section.

This is the second painting that will be sent to America to be included in the Bridging Heaven and Earth Healing Project.

I am still working on a commission and the shop signs for Fragrant Planet aromatherapy. Also on work for upcoming Mind Body and Spirit Expo in March and another art competition based in Cyprus for female artists.

Apologies for such a long gap in updating my news!!

After a lovely lazy December and Christmas I am ready for what 2010 has to offer and I am busy working on several projects.

I am designing and making signs for Fragrant Planet Aromatherapy Centre in Dherinya and will also take on the signs for the TaiChi centre there and some interior work.

I am also working on one of the commission pieces from September which is not far from completion and a painting for an art competition in a couple of months.

Great news that one, maybe two of my paintings are going to be used in a book which I am extremely excited about so watch this space for more about that.......

A great start to the year I think!

The'Bridge Of Love' painting is a healed painting which was created from a channeled painting.

The original painting that was in need of healing was an extremely emotional painting experience for me.
I was painting through the heart with no images in my mind.

'Bridge Of Love' has balanced and healed what came through from the channeled painting.

I have been soooooooo busy this month!
The Mind Body and Spirit exhibition this weekend was fantastic and my paintings were exhibited in various conference rooms and in the main lobby of the hotel, not forgetting the Kypros Tai Chi Association who kindly exhibited the 'sundance series' alongside all their information.
The exhibition in the municipality in Pafos was also successful and 5 of the paintings can still be viewed in Peter's Gallery, Nicosia until the 24th of this month.

~ My painting of Sammy Boy has been included in the November issue of Yassou Magagzine

~ Went to Nicosia today for a meeting with the editors of the Mind, Body and Spirit magazine and the organisers of the whole Mind, Body & Spirit exhibitions. It was fab to meet everyone and to see my painting in the magazine.
My paintings will be exhibited in one of the lecture and workshop rooms.

~ No watching paint dry for me, its all go at the moment.
Have neglected the Heart and Soul Collection works this past week or so as I have had to concentrate very much on painting samples for a commissioned painting. These are well underway now and I hope to have all the samples ready by the end of October. My client can then make a decision on the final piece or pieces that, ideally, will be completed by Christmas (depending on the designs chosen!).
I have also had to concentrate on the healing painting which I now have a better understanding of I just need to complete the work.
The plan now is to alternate between the intricate flower samples and the Heart and Soul Collection paintings once the Healing painting is completed.
Its good to work on afew things at once especially if they are quite different subjects or styles as you get to step back and come back to your painting with fresh eyes (and heart) also there are different concentration levels so its good to break off. My samples I am working on at a desk and my paintings are all up on easels so its good on a physical level to move around too! 8 hours stooped over with your nose on a desk can be hard work!!!

~ I have just been informed that my 'Waterfall' painting from the Rainbow Soul Collection will be published in the Mind, Body and Spirit magazine so i am delighted with that.
This week i have measured up for 2 commissions and had discussions about those works and also got a third commission. Very excited about these. Will be stretching canvas ready to start!

~ The exhibition at the festival was fabulous and there was an amazing amount of people (Thankyou to all of you who came to see me!)
It was a great success and I now have some commissions to work on aswell!
The Heart & Soul Collection is coming along really well and I am looking forward to finishing this and starting my new projects too!

What a week!!!

Have just got in from setting it all up and its looking great.
A variety of origional paintings on canvas and in frames, the Sundance Series inspired by the Kypros Tai Chi logo designs are exhibited. Open Heart has been reworked and is also exhibited and signed photographic prints also available.
Can't wait til tomorrow!!!

~It has been a bit of a project trying to find somewhere that does proper, high quality, giclee prints which are so good they are hard to distinguish from the origional. Hang tight...........they will be worth waiting for!!!!

Cards should be ready in time to be on sale at the Ayia Napa Festival at the end of the month. (She says bravely....after all this is Cyprus!)

~A bit of a frustrating week for me on the painting side of things. Have been caught up with practicalities and buisness side of work rather than painting.
Quite fed up with being on the computer and dying to get back to my canvas!
Have been working on a written article for a book.
Have done alot of research into getting prints of the paintings done, I want to ensure they are of the best quality.
Think I have finally found the right place! Poster prints and limited edition prints will hopefully be available soon along with greeting cards too!
I have also taken 4 of the paintings down to Pafos to Paragon which is a beautiful shop full of one off pieces of artwork, gifts and click clack glass (beautiful glasswear that DOESN'T BREAK!)click here for more information

~ The paintings for my Heart and Soul Collection are still in progress and are in various states of incompletion. I am really happy with the work so far.
Most of the paintings had their names before i started them this time (alot of the time the paintings get their names during the painting process or sometimes not until they are completed)
I also worked on a rough sketch of these works before starting them which i sometimes but don't usually do. It helps when working with the three dimensional paintings though as they can't be changed as easily as a painting with paint alone can.

~ I have just finished a series of smallworks, acrylic on board, one of which will be chosen to be the new logo for the Kypros TaiChi Associationclick here for more information

~I am currently working on a heartwork collection of mixed media and acrylic on canvas, mostly with 3d effects.
A continuation from the 'best reflections' collection '08.
I am also reworking 'Open Heart.'
